Footy Tarot 2022 is a charity project set up by multi-disciplined designer Jason Gomez, with over 80 artists contributing designs for a deck of football-inspired Tarot Cards. There will be a limited number of decks produced with all proceeds going towards refugee initiatives.
The card I chose to depict was the Four of Cups, which represents feelings of dissatisfaction, regret and failure to appreciate the things we already have. In the Footy Tarot Deck this card depicts Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who has won every trophy available to him during his time with the club with the notable exception of the Champions League, which has so far eluded him.
